Represented Banco de Crédito e Inversiones, S.A. in connection with its $882.8 million acquisition of City National Bank of Florida from Spanish bank Bankia, S.A.
Represented Banco de Crédito e Inversiones, S.A. and City National Bank of Florida in the acquisition of Total Bank in Miami, Florida, with a transaction value in excess of $500 million.
Represented City National Bank of Florida in the acquisition of Executive National Bank in Miami, Florida.
Represented G4S in its $54 million sale of 100% of the shares of G4S Secure Data Solutions, SAS, Colombia’s largest records management company headquartered in Bogotá; and G4S Document Delivery, SAS.
Represented a Florida-based equipment manufacturer in connection with its U.S. $45 million sale to a U.S.-based private equity buyer.
Represented a Latin American maritime transport company in connection with its $30 million partial acquisition of a U.S.-based maritime transport company.

Represented Guernsey-based GoldenPeaks Capital Real Estate, an investment and management company, in its acquisition of the luxury SLS South Beach Hotel.
Represented 13th Floor Investments in a series of joint ventures and investments, including its joint venture with Miami-based Mast Capital and Wexford Capital. AVILA assisted with the $29.5 million cash acquisition of a nine-story office building in Coconut Grove overlooking Dinner Key Marina and zoned for a condominium or mixed-use tower.
