Alan Lemura is an associate in AVILA’s Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions Group and Banking & Finance Group, focusing his practice on representing clients in domestic and international transactions. His experience includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and governance, securities transactions, and regulatory (OFAC) compliance with sanctioned countries, among other transactional practice. Alan is originally from Argentina, is fluent in Spanish, and regularly handles complex transactional issues for Spanish-speaking clients.

Prior to joining AVILA, Alan was an associate, and before then a law clerk, for a well-respected boutique firm in Miami where he worked for over eleven years on a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and governance, advising clients on securities compliance, risk mitigation and regulatory compliance for entities wishing to do business in sanctioned countries with a particular focus on Cuba.

While in law school at the University of Miami School of Law, Alan received permission from the Florida Bar to work during law school and did so for all three years while at the same time receiving Dean’s List honors during his first year. While clerking during law school for a well-respected boutique firm, Alan gained invaluable experience and under supervision, resolved complex legal issues for Fortune 500 companies and sophisticated clients.
