EMILY ARIZ

Associate

Emily is an associate in AVILA’s Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions group, as well as the firm’s Banking & Financial Services practice.  

A recent graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Emily has held several internships and gained legal experience in several areas, including extensive legal research, drafting of joint venture agreements and shareholder agreements, drafting of operating agreements and bylaws, and stock purchase agreements.  

Emily works on a variety of corporate law matters, such as independent contractor agreements, acquisition deals, licensing applications, and money services business licenses. She also works on matters relating to banking and financial services, including lending transactions and other finance matters.  

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and Dance, magna cum laude, from the George Washington University. She then completed a Juris Doctorate at the University of Miami, where she participated in the International & Comparative Law Review, was a teaching assistant for Legal Research & Writing for the Dean’s Fellow Program, was a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, and joined the Student Chapter of the Cuban American Bar Association.
