MARISOL VILASUSO

Marisol Vilasuso is an attorney in AVILA’s Commercial Litigation practice, where she represents domestic and foreign businesses in a wide range of litigation cases in both federal and state court, as well as before various arbitration panels.

In court, Ms. Vilasuso has represented defendants and plaintiffs in civil disputes involving contracts, business torts, fraud, and injunctions. Ms. Vilasuso also advises clients on subpoena compliance issues.

Prior to joining AVILA, Ms. Vilasuso was a litigation associate at a well-known national firm, where she successfully defended numerous clients in various civil litigation actions.

She completed a Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, at the University of Miami; and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, magna cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Vilasuso interned for the Honorable William C. Turnoff, Magistrate Judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. She also interned for the United States Department of State in Washington D.C. where she assisted in drafting the executive agreement between the United States and Russia on International Adoptions.

She is an active member of the Coral Gables Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science Young Patrons Association. Marisol is fluent in English and Spanish, and has some basic knowledge of French.
