MARISOL VILASUSO

Associate

Marisol Vilasuso is an associate in AVILA’s Commercial Litigation practice, where she represents domestic and international clients in complex civil litigation matters in both federal and state courts. In court, Ms. Vilasuso has represented defendants and plaintiffs in contract disputes, business torts, fraud claims, and injunctions.  Ms. Vilasuso also advises clients on subpoena compliance issues and complex discovery and e-discovery issues.

Prior to joining AVILA, she was a litigation associate at a nationally recognized law firm, where she successfully defended clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters.

She earned both her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, and Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami. During law school,  Ms. Vilasuso interned for the Honorable William C. Turnoff, Magistrate Judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, and for the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., where she contributed to the drafting of an executive agreement between the United States and Russia on international adoptions.

Marisol is an active member of Life Alliance – Organ Donation and Transplant Alliance. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a basic knowledge of French.
