Janelle Rodriguez-Mena is an associate in AVILA’s corporate group, focusing her practice on corporate representation of domestic and international businesses and financial institutions in connection with mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions, and regulatory and compliance issues, among other transactional matters.
Prior to joining AVILA, Ms. Rodriguez-Mena was an associate for a boutique law firm where she advised clients on a variety of international and domestic transactional matters involving cross-border acquisitions, aircraft financing, intellectual property, and real estate. Earlier in her career, she was a judicial extern to Justice Alan C. Lawson of the Florida Supreme Court.
While in law school at the University of Miami School of Law, Ms. Rodriguez-Mena served on the Executive Board of the Inter-American Law Review and was an extern for the University of Miami Human Rights Clinic. Ms. Rodriguez-Mena was recognized for her dedication to the community by providing over 500 pro bono volunteer hours throughout her law school career.
