Helbert A. Canales-Rojas is an associate in AVILA’s Litigation & Arbitration practice, where he assists clients with a wide variety of business disputes.
Mr. Canales-Rojas is a strong advocate for his clients in the courtroom. He has represented individuals and businesses in commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and various complex litigation matters in federal, state, and appellate courts. He works closely with the firm’s litigation partners to effectively implement a litigation strategy that maximizes clients’ ability to achieve their objectives.
Prior to joining AVILA, Mr. Canales-Rojas started his law career at a national Am Law 200 full-service law firm, where he gained valuable litigation experience.
Mr. Canales-Rojas earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and a research assistant to Judge Phyllis Kotey. Prior to law school, Mr. Canales-Rojas worked as a judicial intern to Judge James Lawrence King of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
He serves on the Executive Committee of Florida International University’s Young Alumni Network and is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and Hispanic National Bar Association.
